How to Make Coconut Caramel Sauce

This coconut caramel sauce is mind-blowing delicious and super easy to make. For this recipe, you will only need four ingredients – coconut cream, brown sugar, butter, and salt.

You can use this coconut caramel sauce when making Bibingkang Malagkit and as a dipping or sauce for Suman Malagkit or Suman sa Lihiya and Kutsinta.

You will need:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can coconut cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Procedure (Bibingkang Malagkit video):

  1. Add all the ingredients to a saucepan.
  2. Let it boil while often stirring to avoid burning. Cook until the sauce thickens and the color becomes darker.
  3. Mix and cook it for about 30 minutes.
  4. Allow cooling slightly to thicken.
